This is the rare and exemplary success story of a French firm, and especially of the men who have been running it, jumping at every marketing, trading, or financial opportunity to play in the major league while preserving its independence and originality.

1923 - Foundation of the company. Alfred Ollier is a joiner. He starts his own firm in Lyons and specializes in shopfitting.

1963 – His son Robert takes over the management of the company and launches the aluminium activity under the Installux trade mark.

1970 – Installux leaves the centre of Lyons and moves east to new premises in Saint Bonnet de Mure. That same year the Ollier-Installux Company is founded.

1973 – The aluminium activity grows autonomous by the foundation of the Installux Company.

1983 – Installux is the fifth company introduced on the brandnew second stock exchange market of Lyons.

1997 – The Installux Gulf joint venture markets the Installux products in the Middle East area.
